The 6th annual Old Mutual Jazz Encounter was successfully staged on 8 October 2011. Headlining the concert was Jimmy Dludlu and Simphiwe Dana from South Africa, while local artists Big Ben, RUN N.A.M.S, Major 7s, Suzy Eises and Adora proved Namibian Jazz is right up there with the best of the best. dB Audio is proud to once again have been the technical production partner for this prestigious event.
Namibian songstress Sharon van Rooi teamed up with Swiss tenors Andri Calonder and Enrico Orlandi for an unforgettable night under the African stars at Windhoek’s Zoo Park on 15 October 2011. Thanks to Ernst Herma and Downtown M&E productions for this initiative.

Namibian rock band Famaz Attack launched their debut album “Famazuiticles” on 14 October 2011 and dB Audio provided a spectacular technical set-up which has hopefully raised the bar for local concerts!
dB Audio again supported Hilltop Live with the supply of sound, lighting, staging and AV for the 2nd annual Hart van Windhoek Festival at the Doc Jubber Hockey Fields on 16 & 17 September 2011. Featuring Westlife and an array of South African and Namibian artists, this event proved to be bigger and better than last year drawing a record crowd of 20 000 people over the 2 days.
dB Audio proudly partnered with Bank Windhoek to stage their Arts Festival’s flagship production for 2011. Written and directed by prof. Aldo Behrens, incorporating the writings of Adam Small, music by Randall Wicomb and featuring the Maranatha Singers, this inspiring musical was staged at the National Theatre of Namibia from 1 to 3 September and in the NPS Kulturaula in Swakopmund from 8 to 10 September.
Blanche Khumalo, Namibian born wife of South African soccer legend Doc Khumalo, showcased her label “Blanchero” during a fashion show at Safari Hotel on September 10th. dB Audio provided technical event support for the glamorous show which also featured 2 Namibian cultural designers, 2 South African designers and musical entertainment by RUN NAMS, Lize Ehlers and South Africa’s Liquid Deep.
The Ohlthaver & List Group of Companies hosted a gala dinner on September 2nd 2011 to award individual and group achievements from among its 15 operating companies. dB Audio assisted Sindana Communications to make this a memorable occasion.
dB Audio supported Headspace Brands with two inaugural events for DHL’s brand new, state of the art premises in Windhoek – a formal launch function on September 9th and an informal stakeholder event on September 10th 2011.

Thanks to an initiative by Studio 77 and Ongoma, dB Audio had the perfect opportunity to let trainees of our recent courses put their newly-acquired knowledge to the test during a fabulous concert in the Old Breweries Craft Market. Featuring performances by Organic Groove, Just the Jazz Band, Lize Ehlers and friends (including an appearance by London-based dancer Tuli Shityuwete) and TONETiC, the audience's overwhelming response may see this event become regular on Windhoek's social calendar.
The Namibia Diamond Trading Company (NDTC) showcased the 2010/12 Diamond Design Collection at the Safari Hotel on February 17th 2011. dB Audio supported Namibia Events to make this a glittering occasion.
The iconic British reggae group UB40 performed live in Windhoek from 26 to 28 February 2011 at the Hage Geingob Stadium, in aid of the Hope Village Trust for the construction of a Hope Village in Rehoboth. dB Audio supplied all the sound, lighting, staging and audio visual support for the concerts which also featured Karen Zoid, Elvis Blue, Nadine, Winnie Khumalo, Ludik, Gal Level, Elemotho and Penilane.
dB Audio supported Headspace Brands to facilitate the launch 3 new Jaguar models, the XK, XF and flagship XJ, for the Novel Motor Company on 8th February 2011.
Just Jinjer, Arno Carstens, Prime Circle, Goldfish, Penilane and Famaz Attack rocked Swakopmund on December 27th 2010 at the Vineta Stadium, arranged by My Space Events and facilitated by Mushroom Productions. dB Audio provided all the technical requirements.
Gold deposits? Oil exploration? Alien invasion? Windhoek was abuzz for a whole week prompted by the appearance of two mysterious looking domes near Maerua Mall on 18 March 2011. All was revealed on 26th March during a live TV broadcast – the discovery of 70 “rough diamonds” – the nominees for the 2011 Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs). dB Audio is proud to have supported Advantage Y&R and Tuckshop Brand in this highly successful event.
Sindana Communications assisted Namibia Breweries Limited to stage a glittering gala event at the Windhoek Country Club & Resort on 16th March where the NBL Namibian Ambassador of 2010 was crowned. dB Audio supplied the tech which included a striking multi-tiered stage.
The first Huisgenoot Hart van Windhoek festival was successfully staged at Wanderers Sport Grounds on 15 + 16 October 2010 featuring the cream of the Afrikaans music crops. dB Audio supported Hilltop Live/Oppikoppi with technical event support to cater for a record audience in excess of 15,000 over the two days. The success of this maiden festival prompted the organizers to announce that the Hart van Windhoek is set to become an annual event.
